Malaysian Unite?

Malaysia is a multi-racial community. Our government always stress that we all as Malaysian should unite.

Question: In order to be united, we have to treat all Malaysian fairly right? Then how come "Bumis" get an additional 7% off buying property?

No comments on the above but just voicing out...

Within our workplace, there's bound to be a multi-racial community there. Everyone's working well with each other even though there'll be conflict of interest once a while but everyone's fine with that. Then it comes to our favourite lunch time where we all can go out and enjoy our meals... Or can't we?

If we're going out wit non-muslim, no problem... everywhere will do.. But if you're going with a muslim, then the choices are narrowed down to not only halal places but also must be operated by a muslim. Not true you say? How many times have you seen a muslim in a chinese food premis? Why do we always have to give in to our counterparts all the time? We have already taken the first step, but what have they done to create awareness? No Action Talk Only?

I beg to differ, so manbe someone could have a say on this?

So not true. I'm technically Muslim. For the love of God stop treating me like one and bring me out to any place to eat. How could anyone not love Char Siew Kai Fan or Gong fu Chow Ying Yong?

I'm always looking good ones in KL.

And yes, I have seen other muslims at these places aside from myself. We just keep it a little hush hush and speak chinese to make people think we're chinese.

I think this is very true, while muslim enjoy lower loans for house and cars. They also causes a lot of bad debt among Malaysia Banks.

Also noticing that a lot of Malays have advantage doing business because some of the Malaysia Government agencies would say "If you were to sell to us, you will need to sell through our purchasing company" - This would be like cheating our tax money and government to jack up the price drastically. Most of the time they earn higher margin than us, which is rediculous and they do not need to do anything other than invoicing and paying.

Uniting Malaysia will not succeed if there is such thing happening in Malaysia.

It is not an issue of whether person is a muslim or not but rather, whether the person is a malay or not...

If you cant even respect what a muslim cannot eat then a easy solution is not to go out and eat with them (since you have to eat at non hala places). Socialize some other time.

The housing discount in a way plays favourably to the devlopers for it opens up their customer base. They are much more (in %) lower and lower midle income Malays than other races. How often do you hear a housing development is sold out because majority of the buyers are malays thus depriving other races of buying it....
